Need a break? There are two ways to find respite care.   1. Call your Iowa KidsNet support specialist who will assist your family in finding respite care. However, we cannot guarantee that we will be able to locate respite for your request.   2. Call another foster family. You can arrange respite with another licensed foster family. You must seek approval for the respite placement from DHS and provide DHS with the respite information for payment. In order to keep Iowa KidsNet up to date on available openings, families should notify Iowa KidsNet of respite arrangements at 1.800.243.0756 (Hablamos español) or customerservice@iowakidsnet.com.   Keep in mind that if your family is seeking respite care, then you are responsible for making the specific arrangements of date, time and transportation with your identified respite provider. You will need to continue to provide DHS with respite information for payment.
