Makala is friendly, outgoing and loves one-on-one time.  She enjoys being outside and staying active.  She is a happy girl and wants to make friends and bond with people.  Makala is still learning about boundaries and how to interact appropriately with others.  She has an Individualized Education Program at school for assistance with behaviors and academics. 

Makala has had a lot of changes in her life and her new family will need to be committed to her and assist her in dealing with her past.  A family that understands the effects of trauma on a young child in general and who can be very patient as she learns to trust new people would be good for her.

Makala is very open to trying new activities with her new family.  Because she has birth siblings in Iowa, it would be best if the family lives in Iowa and will support her remaining in contact with them. She wants a family that will spend time with her and it would be best if she was the youngest child in the home.  Makala wants families to know she is a nice girl.
