Jonithan is the big brother in this group. He loves playing outside and being active. Jonithan tries very hard to do what he is supposed to and with the help of therapy and medication he is making progress and becoming more laid-back. He is working on improving his social skills and becoming more organized. How far Jonithan will progress intellectually is still unclear. Currently he requires a lot of assistance with school and structure in all areas.
Alyssa is a child who prefers to run the show. She does pretty well intellectually in school but struggles with social skills. Alyssa would love as much attention as you have time to give her.
Jurgen is a darling 3-year-old. He is very personable and likes everyone. He likes being outside and is often content to play alone. He is significantly delayed, both physically and developmentally. He is currently attending preschool and working on language skills.
Because these children will require a significant amount of extra care, they should be the youngest children in the home. A family with experience with developmental disabilities would be most appropriate. The family should have a very strong support system that will help them parent children with significant needs. Since the children have birth family in the area, they would benefit by remaining in Iowa. |
